Bicicletti

Sorry for the long absence, I've been concentrating on newer photos, on my EffStopLocal site.

Anyway here's a collection mostly from Tuscany/Umbria 2007. Since I was seeing bicycles parked patiently everywhere, I began documenting them, especially since they were usually in spectacular locations.

I absolutely LOVE this post, sEAN! I love sets of themed photographs (and I'm going to have to revisit Italy after scrolling through your blog, damn you! *shakes fist*) and there is something peculiarly evocative about these. Their owners are almost painfully absent and each location, attractive in its own right, is brought together into a whole sense of place by the repeated motif. Sorry - I'm not trained in art-appreciation - just trying to say what I like!
